How do I replace HDD in my jailbroken PS3?

I have a PS3 "phat" model that I downgraded from 4.11 to 3.55 using E3 Flasher.

After downgrading, I've installed QA flag and TrueBlue CFW (2.61).

How can I replace the HDD (to a smaller size) without losing my jailbreak? (Also, I DON'T have the E3 Flasher installed in the system any longer...)

Someone else might have to advise you how your QA flag might affect things but what I did was go to OFW 3.55 do the swap and then re-install CFW 3.55. I was aware some said they had simply swapped HDDs and re-installed their CFW without going OFW but I would rather be more careful.

You should also make sure that you use the backup utility before you swap HDD's to save all your installed data. If you want to transfer trophies, you will need to backup that folder as well. After that then you can follow cerebr al's suggestion.
