I was trying to create a Sly Collection HDD EBOOT.BIN, All went well the package installed fine. Game booted up. But i cant start up any of the games, i believe that is because i have to patch the secondary .SELF executables. But i decrypted them and there is no "dev_bdvd" to be found, so how do i patch these?
An eboot.bin file is also a self file. So you'd do it the same way.Quote:

I do, do the hexedit but i cant find the string "dev_bdvd" on "Sly1.self"
Maybe it doesn't need to be edited then? I haven't run into a game yet with an issue like that so i'm not sure what you'd have to do exactly, sorry :SQuote:

I don't believe these are the ORIGINAL ones,

I'm not too sure where to put these with Comgenie File Manager or FTP...
I've just been confused overall, too much information at once, maybe i'm missing a step somewhere....

As a result I was sucessful in doing the step by step to create the .pkg file but somewhere in merging ORIGINAL USRDIR ( from bdvd to hdd0 ) /games directory I got lost ... I don't really know how many other threads I've been reading but this seems difficult to do.
I have 4 games that won't launch

The modified Eboot.bin tutorials above i was following was for GTA4, the game launches but it loops through these 3 or 4 images at the begging doesn't actually load the game.
(modified what need in param.sfo from HD to GD or something like that )
(modified eboot.self to eboot.bin or whatever,... filessize shrunk to 7M
but lost after that.
(also all instances of bdvd where changed to hdd0 )
Anyways I would really like GTA4 to launch from Internal HardDrive Without the disk....
Also I read somewhere in a forum, that when trying to play a game, (Trilogy) Like Sly Collection or God of War or etc...
There will be 3 self files and EBOOT.BIN
But each game would need to be patched with EBOOT.BIN and Sly1.Self ( for example if you are trying to boot Sly1 )
and then they would need to be added to the USRDIR in order to play ...
With someone who had experience in what they are doing this process can take 5-10 minutes....
But I have not slep for more than 48 hours trying to figure this out...
Please help me...
