How did wankos CFW.......
How did wankos CFW....... –
Kill so many PS3's, does anyone know what caused the problem and was a fix ever released from the dev?
It only bricked 256mb NAND PS3s. There was a v2 released, but not that any people tried it after the first release.
Edit: It was installed fully on the NAND, which is where PS3 Phat's install the firmware. It was basically designed for PS3 Slims are Phats with 16mb NAND since a lot of the firmware would be installed on the internal HDD. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that was it.
Don't Feed The Trolls Past Midnight
there are actually quite a few people still using v1 & v2 (safe for Phats with 256 nand)
CECHA01 (500GB Cobra 7/ REBUG REX 4.46 XMBM+, multiMAN/webMAN XMB, Showtime,)
I'm one of the ones using V2 on a 256 nand phat, really is a hassle free CFW and I respect wani regardless of the V1 wipeout. Sure he screwed up, so did allot of users for not researching the issue. I mean people where still installing V1 on older phats days after it should have been common knowledge what would happen.
