How could Sony detect a console with a CFW connected to the internet if every software installed on it its "firmed by" Sony?
There are lots of ways, make a hash of the Kernel, compare it with their own. If it fails = ban. There are MANY ways in doing things, it's just sony is going to have to play the cat and mouse game more then Microshaft.. They had an infrastructure already setup and security built into the 360 from the start. Sony trusted their hard core security on the console as their gatekeeper.
