I was wondering if there was a way to organize your backups either alphabetically or in a custom order. Thanks in advance.

possibly renaming the files on the hdd if theyre copied to the external drive since the folders use the identification code and not the actual name.

i would like to see a few things with the next backup manager version, like place games in alphabetical order and also get back out to xmb without having to load a game then quit it.

What about for the internal drive with the use of FTP? Backup Manager organizes games in the order they were backed up. I'm gonna try renaming the folders to something else, and then rename them back. Maybe the date change will put the game at the bottom of the list.

you can quit backup manager without loading any game just press and hold the ps button then a menu should pop up asking you to quit, turn off the controller etc just do that thats what i would do. and i know it works as i have quit that way

Doesn't seem to have any bearing on how BM orders them in my tests.

The next version of BM really needs to use the Game Title to name the install folders, not the Game ID

Maybe it's possible to do a hex edit of the backup manager EBOOT.BIN to do this? I will investigate

Had a bit of a poke around the EBOOT.BIN for BM, the only reference to the game title was here:

looks like it does use the sfo file for the info but not sure if we can change it

I may have figured it out. It seems BM lists backups in order of their creation date on the HDD.

Change the creation date on your folders to line up with the order you want your games in, and you should be good to go. worked for me
