How about a prize fund for the first Dev to crack and release a CFW 3.60?

Ok this could be a terrible idea but im just throwing it out there.

Could we not setup a competition for the first DEV to release a cfw 3.60?
We could have a paypal account where people donate funds and the dev who cracks 3.60 OFW and release a cfw picks up the prize money.

PSX Scene or some other trustworthy person could hold the paypal account details and give the prize to the winner.

Would this be illegal or wrong because isnt using CFW legal? Obviously it would be best for this to be done outside of the US, somewhere like Canada etc.

What do you guys think?

Just like what we did for Geohot, except we start saving early..?

Just swap prize money for legal fees..

,they not doing it to make money you know?and imagine how many cfw's will be out there causing god knows how many bricks.

if that hacker releases 3.60 CFW
he/she will probably get sued and i think that will cost more then just the "prize money"

I see 2 problems.
1: People who do this do not do it for money
2: This makes it a race, do you really want to install that on your Ps3?

Way around this is

1 Alias

2 Do it from a safe country

3 Paypal funds are transferred to another private non public account by Paypal account holder.

thats also true...

and i also agree with Mark Webber it would be a race then...

and everyone with 3.60 updated their console themself, so i geuss its their own fault that they cant run any homebrew anymore. the only good thing about 3.60 cfw is PSN access
