Hi guys :) New JB'er Question w/ Problem :( *fixed* but new question :D

I got a CECH-2501A Slim 120GB GT5 Bundle Ps3 and it came loaded with 3.50.. So i followed the guide for the 3.55
Installed OFW3.55 - , then Installed the CFW 3.55 kmeaw and everything went fine handy dandy, then installed MultiMan 2.01.00 Lastest Release i think(MM), and that package installation went fine as well,
Now i've heard that to be able to make BD backups and run them i needed the LV2.pkg, but i've read that the latest MM 2.01 already has it, and i don't need LV2 any longer, correct?...


now the problem is this, when i want to do the back up of the B-D game exp.Oblivion GOY, I insert the disc, the light blinks then becomes stable and shuts off... i search for the disc in the XMB, but nothing comes out at all, i tried reinserting the game, when i have MM turned on, and nothing appears in the XMB about my game.

Now could the BDrive itself be damaged? the system is praticaly brand new lmao, just got it yesterday from bestbuy.

Now if i have to return the system for an exchange ( hopefully getting another 3.50fw *crosses fingers* ) can i just reinstall ofw 3.55 and return it like this? without any problems of Homebrew showing ect?... basicly brand new system as if from factory, or flash ofw3.55 then Factory Reset?

You don't need lv2patcher. And multiMAN isn't working how you want because you didn't install BDEMU.pkg. It's on Google. It wasn't included because of piracy concerns.

Aaah, well actually forgot to add that i did installed BDEmu2.pkg too, when installing, the screen flashes, but it doesn't appear as a program ( So its just an addon to MultiMan correct?) but, even after doing so, the Disc still doesn't show up.
I've also went ahead and reinstalled 3.55OFW again, and tried the disc, and that didn't work either, so its a bluray drive issue then?

oh the actual disc isn't showing? could be something wrong with the laser. try with another game.

yeah the actual disc isn't showing :P, and I did, tried infamous 2, oblivion, BlackOps, God of War, and none appeared, so then, the laser is in fault, darn it then gotta exchange it, now to clean everything up free of "Jb's" just reinstall ofw3.55 and factory reset it?

Yeah, install OFW 3.55, formatt HDD, and factory reset. I'd do all that from the recovery menu.

So getting back , exchanged the ps3, and this one has a working laser! now it can view the disc!!

Now this one came with 3.40"WoW".. i went and installed 3.55OFW, then KMEAW_3.55CFW
now installing MultiMan 2.01.00, then install BDemu2.pkg correct? do i need the LV2.pkg for anything? or not any more?
Im also installing Fix Permissions because i've been reading a few problems blanks screen ect.. that this packet has fixed .
but about the way im stalling things, is correctly done?

bdemu2 does automatically what lv2.pkg did, except with lv2.pkg you had to load it every time you reset or turned on/off your system. so you dont need lv2.pkg anymore. the fix permissions thing is sort of already built into the latest multiman, and i've only had to use it once or twice so far....

the only reason for needing lv2.pkg would be if you wanted to change BD region for playing imported Blu-Ray movies
