hey guys whats been going on in the unbricking/ jailbreak scene ? anyways im new here and heard about this awesome site ! also the main reason i registered is for helping me / others and stuff i need for to well unbrick my ps3 lol i had the whatever his name is that starts with a W of his CFW after i wanted to go back to OFW i went to recovery mode and did the ofw downgrade on the ps3 update option in the recovery menu when it reached 1oo% it restarted with the following lights and beeps:
lights : green , yellow , green , blinking red
beep sounds : powered on with one beep, then once it went to binking red it did three beeps.
so do i have a half bricked console or full ?
and i heard there is a solution to undo this problem without opening your ps3.

ive actually felt for a very long time that people who gripe at a misinformed post without adding any helpful guidance are just as guilty as the poster. were all hypocrites in one way or another though. with that said i apologize to you op. a good place to start your research would be brick research. http://psx-scene.com/forums/f149/bri...esearch-74903/ (Brick Recovery Research) though it would be near impossible to do this on your own, a hardware fix may come some day.

thanks i was feeling pretty down about that. ill use this as an opportunity to say what we should all say to new sceners- welcome to the forums!
on topic, i have something else of interest. from reading through that thread, it sounds like its possible to do a hardware fix so long as your nand doesnt have any bad blocks, which is very unlikely. this is very technical to pull off and if you feel it isnt for you, id suggest you stick with your 360 or pick up another ps3.

If your lucky enough to not have used the 2nd Lv2Diag, then you should be able to put the first lv2diag, and a new ps3updat.pup on a usb and flash over again. That is if you left the ps3 in service mode and have not taken outa service mode, even in this brick mode you can fix it. as long as you have not used 2nd lv2diag!!! this should become public news. I have saved serveral ps3 on bad flashes this way!!!!
