hey i have a question. can i use the Hermes.pkg on OFW3.41, that we can play backuped games ????

How are you going to execute it without a dongle on OFW? You have to apply a payload via a dongle before you can erm... apply a payload via hermes.pkg?

And if you have a dongle, what would be the point of running Hermes.pkg? (I`m assuming it is v4b) as v4b is on the dongle already isnt it?

well...no need for dongle on each boot after the package is applied. easier to just switch on with single button than unplug each time and power+eject to switch on. Also one usb port will become free on my ps3 slim with just 2 USB ports.

Also those without dongle could borrow from someone for a single use

Just unplug the dongle once it is jailbroken mate. USB port back to you!

Or install Hermes CFW. Might try that myself actually.

Power/eject aint hard either. Only need to re jailbreak if you lose power...

I have it always plugged in...one for PS3 move camera and other for dongle. Just unplug anyone when i need to connect external usb hdd.

Me too...just waiting for sometime for everything to get cleared up. All games now work in current fw. Dont see much new addition..so still staying on 3.41 OFW.

I usually shutdown ps3 after playing. So to jailbreak I need to reach down behind the stand and unplug ps3 and then plug it back in. this is the part i want to avoid by using Hermes.pkg. just pressing pwoer+eject is easy. but need to unplug too

Upgrade to Hermes 3.41 CFW and it's the same thing as OFW, without the need for a dongle.
