Help removing PSgroove

Hey so I jailbroke my P3 (fat) about a year ago via rockbox on my ipod 5th gen. I am interested in upgrading to geohot 3.55 . I have already done the system update to 3.55, but I feel like psgroove is still on my system. After update the install package files folder is still present.

How can I remove the previous jailbreak and return my system to it's original state? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

just delete those packages from XMB, might I suggest 3.55-Kmeaw as Geohot-3.55 is old and does SHIT!

Should I simply install over? Will previous jailbreak interfere?

no interference whatsoever as PSGroove jailbreak was there only if you started it with dongle (or any other jailbreak device) but make sure you download new pkgs as the older one might no work

Took some finagling but I got it. Thank you for the help/sending me in the right direction. So if I understood what I read this should remove cinavia as well?

no kmeaw won't but REBUG will ( I also created a CFW very similar to kmeaw with Cinavia disabled and spoofed to 3.66 3.55-NFW, mind you I only tested it on my PS3 but I do have the troublesome CECHA01 so everything should be as safe as using kmeaw)

Actually, I installed rebug 3.55.2 after following the link in your name. I use my ps3 media server quite frequently and thought it would be best for me. It's amazing how far his has come in the last year. Works great- had to use the update, but worked immediately after. *bows newb head with respect*

lol i used the same ipod 5th gen to jailbreak my ps3
later i used geohot + wutangrza not kmeaw
and last rebug
today the ipod only for some external games
