Hi everybody. This is my first post. Yesterday i was doing the downgrade to 3.41 and now i have a real problem. When i start my ps3, after 10 - 20 sec., it shuts down. Nothing work. cant even go to recovery mode. This is not the 5 beeps problem (the green light just turns red, and thats it - no beep beep). Please, anyone knows how to bring my fat 60gb back to life? (sorry for my english)
First you need to post a step by step of what you did. That way we can see if you messed up some where. Also post what jailbreak device your using.
you are probably stuck in service mode try putting FILE2 of your downgrader on a usb stick.
put it in the right most usb slot of your ps3, turn on ps3 normally, wait it should turn off automatically, now take out the usb, and start your ps3 normally no jailbreak.
Try that it shoud work.
Hi Xile6. Yes i think i messed up. I use ps3key and put in the console. It went to factory mode. Then, i plug a usb stick (formated 32fat) with the files. PUP 3.41 and file 1 Lv2Diag.self. The green lightning was blinking for a very long time (the tutorial that i read said it was for about 3m) Almost 10 minutes later, the green light was still blinking, i though that was enough and i unplugged the usb stick. I think that was my mistake. For that moment the problem appears. I already try to start in recovery mode and nothing. I turn on my ps3 and 10 seconds later turns off. I also put the file 2 lv diag. on the root of my usb and nothing works. By the way, in the moment that turns off, the symbol of the cilinder/battery (next to usb port and net symbol) shines and in that moment the console shuts down. I thank you for any help
Start the whole process over again. You semi-bricked your console by not letting it finish installing firmware. If you start from the first step in the downgrade instructions and go through all the steps appropriately, your PS3 will boot back up.
Hi Cyberworm. Already did that. And i tried once again. It dosent respond. Always shuts down. Any other tip? Thanks
I tried Chesh. But the problem is that console dont let me do it. The console reacts always like i descrive it. I cant even pass the first step because it dont allowed. Always shut down. Start, green light for about 10 sec. the cilynder/battery icon shines, turn off.
Try using a different thumb drive for your firmware and try redownloading the firmware again and continue from the step where you put in the lvl2diag.self file and firmware on the thumb drive and see if that doesn't reflash it.
continuous flash meant you had an update failure, best to do is downgrade (from beginning to end) with a different update.pup
Like the others said, start from square one. The process before it starts downgrade can take up to a minute so don't shut it off. My ps3 took it's sweet time then the hard drive and flash drive lights started working. You don't need to touch it at this point, when it's done it will close by itself.
When it shuts off remove the usb flash drive or it will do the downgrade sequence all over again. (I learned that the hard way)
