help please, getting black screen now

using 3.41 still with gai manager in my sig... now when click on the game in gai manager, it loads up i just get a black screen of death, i have to manually hit the on/off button at the back to reboot the ps3

old phat ps3 slim i have

any ideas? should i try to install a newer version of gai manager?

edit: i had 'direct boot' option turned on,,, i'll try it with it OFF

yes, changing it to OFF, made it work again thank god!!!

Glad you got it sorted but think about going with a CFW, Kmeaw's preferred as it has had zero bricks I know of and no need to power on and off ever again. Plus no patching games and it works upon boot. You can even go online with PSN after flashing kmeaw by flashing rebug 3.60 spoofer. If any errors occur you can always recover in recovery mode. There is no loss of data, games, or save files.

There is also no bluray playback loss as it is an upgrade and you can always go back to OFW from recovery mode as well. Only reason to stay on 3.41 is if you have third party bluetooth pads as Sony bllocked them from working but any that use USB cord/dongle work just fine if that may be the reason for holding you back. Not sure why someone would pay $50 for a crappy third party pad when you can pay $10 more and get a quality first party pad. Anyhow I'll end my rant. Happy gaming!!

ya im kinda 'lazy' and scared to upgrade to CFW lol , will my USB wired hori fighting stick work on Kmeaw CFW?
