aargh, i don't understand how to update this thing...

i just got it in mail from ***********.

Where do i put the update.bin file? Do i need to buy a TF card?

Also, what files do i need to dl and install?

Gaia and comegenie? please help, thanks!

gosh i did that...some refer to U drive...wtf is that? some say insert TF card...like where is the TF card?...was it included?

i think u drive is the internall drive!

And TF is simply the micro sd card!

So u need to buy a micro sd card.

Put the BIN file in the root of the new drive detected and you re good to go. Then reinsert the stick and update is done, i talk about last file from them.

when i insert it into pc, i see 2 drives...one has stuff in it and one is empty...

-empty one cannot access, i assume thats the for microsd slot

-i put BIN file in the other drive...nothing happens at all, what i read at gamebox is that starting with newest firmware this is supported?...if my p3go has older firmware, i need to use TF(microsd) card?

wish someone said i needed one to even do an initial update

A new update is there, try and the post. Put the BIN in the root of the drive available. Mine is not here yet, but that must be the way. IF not, maybe you must use the TF slot.

if you don't have a micro card, and if your p3go firmware is older, you're SOL...

i guess they assume everyone magically has a microsd card?

You've probably got one with quite old firmware on it. This means you'll need to put the update.bin file on a transflash/microsd card thats inserted in the p3 then unplugging then replugging into the computer until the flashing led's stop flashing.

In future you just put the updates on the p3's other (internal) memory drive and repeat process.

This has already been explained in the p3 review thread and the general jailbreak thread. I think you should delete this thread now tbh.

(if you don't have a microsd then yeah your SOL-just buy one anyway, they're really cheap nowadays)

i read the entire 24pages of the review thread...never read anything about needing your own tf card..

well, anyway, someone came home and i'm gonna raid their cellphone which i think has a microsd card..
