Help me in running updated backup games!! –

Hi,
I am pretty new to this PS3 jailbreak.
I was just wondering if they is a way in getting a updated game that requires 3.55+ FW to run again.
For example:
I have NFS The RUN and i can run it with the JB2 patch. (With TB dongle plug in ofcos)
But then after installing the update .pkg download with game list manager my ps3 says i need to be on firmware 3.72 to run the game.
Is there anyway around this ? maybe like copy the patch eboot into the install folder of the game?
I know i can uninstall the update and it will run again.
I was hoping to be update a few games and still work.
Any help / answer would be great
Cheers

you won't be able to use a TrueBlue game after you update the game unless you get an updated TrueBlue patch. Copying the TrueBlue files to the game directory won't enable the update you downloaded with game list manager. At best that will just revert the game to what you had to start with. At worst, the game won't launch until you delete the game data. I'm not aware of any updated TrueBlue files, so I'd leave well enough alone but you could do a google search of "game id + trueblue update" for updated files or go to the official trueblue site and see if there's anything there.

I'm pretty sure this is the only game update they have released so far--> The_Elder_Scrolls_V_Skyrim_UPDATE_TB_PS3-PARADOX
which proves it can be done but has to be done by them

Good to know about the Elder scrolls update. It didn't cross my mind to check the Paradox releases. If you've got usenet access and NewsLeecher then you can do a super search of either "pardox game name" or "pdx game name" and if it's available it will come up

Looks like no one actually answered your question here. Delete the game data & reinstall the game as the update is applied to this and will override the TB eboot patch you've applied. Do this & you should be fine and the game will run again. Never update games that the update requires firmware above 3.55 as this will override any fix applied. Don't have a TB dongle but this was an issue with games above 3.55 before and I don't think it would have changed now. Never update games that need a fix, but if you do it can easily be fixed by deleting the game data which will revert it back to any fix applied. Have a merry Xmas. Let's hope we get some great cfw & apps in 2012 that give us all the luxuries of cobra & true blue. It would be great to be able to run psx,ps2 & psp iso's from hdd. Suppose it's just a matter of time til we get this for free. I've already had 1 dongle crap itself on me, not prepared to pay good money on one. Let's hope the devs stop runnin' scared in 2012 and it is a good year on the cfw scene and gives us all the ability to utilize the full ability on our machines, the scene has been a bit ordinary for most of this year.
