Hey,
I have filled my ps3's hdd and now its time to purchase an Ext. I am needing help to decide if i should choose one that is draws it power from usb or external power source.
I am unsure if they both work with the ps3, you can get more space per money if you get one that has etc power.
So, thoughts please.

Im sure both works fine. Just make sure you format it to FAT32.
IM Using 1tb external hdd...with ac power...and it works fine! i recommend you to get at least 1tb so that u wont run out of space anytime soon... :p
or better yet...replace your internal hdd to 640gb if possible!
yeah.. i heard it's best to buy an ac powered ext hdd.. which one are you using sciencefreak? might consider purchising one as i have like 20gb left on my internal..:chinscratQuote:
