help after blu ray remarry :\ –

ok, now i'm super confused.
i FINALLY managed to get my psp to boot my ps3 into service mode (using GEN-D3 and by HOLDING THE POWER BUTTON even after you press eject until you hear one BEEP).
anyways, did that, got the system into service mode....did the remarry, which said in blue letters, PASS, so it obviously worked.
booted into xmb still in service mode.....put s blu ray movie in, as instructed, it started to do some update or other, the it just froze......left it for a good 30 minutes.....eventually exit playback, and now the drive won't work, won't read any disks, actually won't even take any discs in the drive at all :\
any ideas?
the mechanism still seems to work, and i've seen the laser come on, but it's just like it's not even deteting that a disc has ben insterted.....unless i start the console with a disc half inserted, in which case it won't actually feed the disc into the drive, but instead the light goes blue and it jsut sits there half sticking out the console.....

::UPDATE::
it's something to do with the eject button i think, or something to do with the way teh drive is put together.
i've jsut taken it apart to take a look, and i now have it reading game discs and pkg files now run fine...so the remarry process has definitely worked.
problem is that the disc will not eject by pressing the button
if i choose eject disc from the xmb it will eject th disc, but then the drive makes a clunking noise and no longer accepts discs again until i take it apart and put it bak togther.

::UPDATE::
never mind....drive is working, it is just a mechanical issue....going to make a flip-top mod instead
