Hello, I'm kinda new here, been browsing this forum for quite awhile and I'm wondering which jailbreak method is best for my purposes? Is my understanding correct? Please help me out.

I'm leaning towards kmeaw firmware since this is probably the best one I understand on how to do cause there are alot of tutorials but i still have questions. Please bear with me.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the way I understand it is that I should:

1.download the cfw 3.55 and update via storage device on ps3
2.download lv2.pkg and install in ps3
3. install some kind of backup manager (which one is best? Gaia or Multiman? I haven't seen any comprehensive guide to multiman[can someone provide me a link?] so i'm leaning towards gaia.
4. every time I want to use ps3 backups i should play lv2.pkg first then backup manager.
5.Disable my Internet Connection from my PS3 (Is this necessary? or will I still be able to play online?)
6.insert any disc then fool the ps3 using my selected backup manager and play any game I have backed up.

Is this correct? Am I missing something? Sorry but I just want to make sure I don't brick my system.

Also, will my downloaded backups from torrent servers work using this method? I'm afraid it might not work.

I've heard about FTP from browsing this forum but what exactly is it? I know it has something to do with transferring files. Sorry for noob question.
