Let me start off by saying hello, I'm new to the scene having just transferred over from an Xbox 360 to the PS3 this weekend. Whats the 1st thing i did? No i didn't unwrap my shiny new copy of assassins creed BH... I bought an E3 Downgrader and hacked the bitch up. I'm now running CFW 3.41 and have backed up assassins creed BH using Open Manager V2.

However....

I want to upgrade to the latest CFW, i know that geohot has released a 3.55 CFW but he has said that hackers/modders shouldn't bother. However i have read the forums and i know that you guys, being the best at what you do, have a list of several signed PKG files on site, one of which is Multiman.

I have downloaded geohots 3.55 release but i am not sure what i am doing or even if i should upgrade to 3.55 since i dont know if i can downgrade from it if it all goes a bit ski wiff and pear shaped.

Would anyone be kind enough to point me in the direction of a good tutorial that will show me precisely how to upgrade to CFW 3.55 for the ps3? and explain to me exactly what the pro's and con's are.

Also, quick thank you to say to you guys excellent work with the Eboots. I have 2 questions about them though.

1: are they the genuine retail eboots or are they modified?
2: do they allow games to load directly from an external without requiring a
BD game or would that be dependant on how they have been modified?
