Hello ... Got some questions.

First of all I would like to say hello to all psx-scene users cus im new here.

Ok getting back to my questions now.

My PS3 is FAT 80Gb (CECHL04)
Actually im on 3.40 OFW ( No idea which one was when i bought it)

1.I would like to install CFW and i want to know which one is the best and safe to use? ( Without brick posibility)
2.Which backup manager is the best and dont need those lv2 ( if need it's ok i will handle it ^^) ?
3.Can i use my external HP 1TB HDD to store and run backups on it ??

Ofcourse i would like to do it by myself without buying anything. Would be nice if some1 can help me
