My PS3 no longer shows up on my TV! I've changed HDMI cables and ports with no success.

It does work on an LCD monitor I have using HDMI -> DVI cable.

I tested all my HDMI cables with a second PS3, and they appear to work fine. anyone ever heard of anything like this? It worked fine last night, but this morning, nothing

Do other HDMI devices still work on the TV and port the PS3 was plugged into?

Yes. In fact, my other PS3 works just fine using the same cord/port.

I tried unplugging everything for a few minutes, but that seems to have had no effect.

I'm well aware of how to reset the video, and it has been tried.

    Thanks though.

Have you tried using your av cables switching to av setting then back to hdmi. I have an issue where the video reset was not working because i switched TV's and that is what i had to do. Not sure why it worked but i just leave my av cable hooked up now in case i ever need it again so i don't have to go look for it

    didn't work

It displays fine using the RCA connections, and it displays fine connected via an HDMI->DVI cable, but my TV still doesn't see it.

It's weird, because my other PS3 works just fine using the same cord and port on the TV.

I recently went through the same thing myself. Other hdmi devices worked with the same cable and on the same port, but the ps3 did not. If I switched the ps3 to my composite cables it would show up after doing a video reset. I just kept trying back and forth and eventually (after about an hour mind you) it took the hdmi back. I think it was the playstations fault. Just keep switching and trying is all I can suggest.

If u already rested the settings then maybe it is the tv..... Try plugging another hdmi device in the tv amd see if it works.

I've had the same problem on my slim for months now and haven't found a solution. The same cable works on all my other devices just fine. I have to constantly unplug the cable from the ps3 and plug it in and wait (sometimes a few minutes) for it to show up. It's only with the ps3. The ps3 is only about 6 months old, what the hell is wrong with sony and their hdmi ports??
