HDD says 0kb is free? –
10-14-2010,06:45 AM
I backed up FFXIII to my internal hard drive, making sure i'd have atleast 10 gigs left over after the backup
exit to xmb and it says I have <500mb free as a warning message, when I try to play the game tells me it can't continue because I don't have more than 4 megs free
Checked system info and it said I have 0/74 free hard drive space
I don't want to re-format and back up all my games again, is there any reason why this is happening and is there any way to fix it?
quickedit: Moved a backup of one game to another hdd, 3 gigs removed from internal and the system info shows 677 megs free now

I'm having the same issue. Had about 1GB free on PS3, so I deleted around 40GB of content but it only showed 19GB free. Then I FTP'd a 20GB game and it's down to 0KB now. Even after deleting some stuff it's still on 0KB, WTF? I can't write anything to the hard drive. Did you ever fix the problem?

Things like this on other systems, portable hard drives, and other storage media mean that the hard drive is in a sense "bricked," and you may need to reformat the HDD.
However, I can't say for sure on the PS3.
