Having difficulties playing backup from external

My PS3 just won't play backups from an external HDD! Though games on internal work fine, but it's a bit tricky because my internal HDD is already full.

I'm on Rebug 3.55.2 and I've tried Rogero manager, multiman and even Gaia manager

What am I doing wrong? The usb HDD is formated to Fat32 and I extracted the psarc file. It should work fine right? When I select the backup from Multiman (or any other) and then select the game from XMB, I am greeted by a black screen

Some games just WILL NOT play from external, some are internal only. Some games require BD mirror (Select+x on multiman). That's why if you amassed a large collection of games it's also worth it to upgrade your internal, so as not to rely entirely on external.
