As posted, I only have $35 bucks, which device should I buy. I want it to be upgradeable. I like the clones because it's easier to use. But I'm not sure what device I should go with.

minimus from foundby.com
Minimus 32 AVR USB Development Board
There's no going wrong with that one
i have a minimus and am very happy with it. I've also bought the x3max but thats not arrived yet and cant comment.
Teensy 2.0 and teensy 2.0++ are the cheapest and the easiest to upgrade. They are either $18 or $24 cheaper than anything else. Teensy USB Development Board
This.
Having just received my Teensy 2.0 in the mail it was ridiculously easy to find up-to-date payloads (PL3 and Hermes v4b) and to program the device with them.
The price (~$20 shipped) alone was enough for me, but its actually a very nice product that I would recommend for about anyone.
How would I program a Teensy 2.0? Also, I don't have to mod it in anyway, right? All I have to do is plug it in my computer, flash it, then plug it in the ps3, right?
You can download the programming tool and follow the directions here:
Teensy Loader app for Windows 7 and Vista
and you can build the hex file you program it with here:
Project0 » PSGroove-Maker
Thanks...
P3 Go GT? That looks like quite a promising alternative. Mind you I haven't read any reviews of it so I'm not too sure as to how the final product quality/functionality is though...
