Hack your PS3 w/ an Xbox 360 USB SPI NAND Reader
Hack your PS3 w/ an Xbox 360 USB SPI NAND Reader –

From:

As soon as I read this in the morning, I immediately google'd this spi nand reader thing, and purchased one for £32.99 from here:
http://ghost2fitter.co.uk/index.php?...roducts_id=298
Lucky I didn't dither too, as it's now sold out. Apparantly it's possible to make one for as little as £8 using parts from stores such as Maplins. But I don't have the technical knowledge so I don't mind paying.
It should arrive in 2 days, much better than the likely later this month/early October I probably would've gotten my blackcat from embeddedcomputers. Now I must work on canceling THAT order, or just letting it continue and selling it on

So it arrived this morning (ordered yesterday, I read the thing wrong. Delivered WITHIN 2 days xD). Only thing is I ordered it using my friend's Paypal so it's at his. I've been busy today plus laziness, so I didn't pick it up. Now I'm sitting here frustrated that I could've done the hack today. Oh well I guess another 12 hours won't hurt >_<

If I make a tutorial it will be based on this:
http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.p...ic=720653&st=0
This thing is actually still widely in stock I believe, so anyone waiting on an order that hasn't ship might as well cancel and go for one of these. I don't think the news of it working on these has spread enough as the previous ones, or there are just so many of these available to buy (In the US at least).

I've done it yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!!! I felt exhilarated upon seeing the generic USB hub come up on my PC after intalling the .hex and then afterwards when seeing the install/package stuff on my PS3. I'll get to writing a tutorial later, but it will only be based on that Xbox Scene one, really easy to follow. WOOOOOOO!!!!
