grand theft auto IV complete edition

GTA IV complete collection.

Hi I am new to this jailbreaking of the ps3,
I only have a few games backed up with open manager and I have the ps3break v1.0 (version that wont update as is said it would).

I am trying to get this gta IV complete edition to work but it is asking to be updated to 3.42 or later. Is there anything that I could do to get this game working. Thanks

i think you should remove the Update folder first, then if it's not working someone else might have a fix like other games that are on 3.42 and using some workaround...
with a simple sfo edit or eboot replacement.

Edit the sfo to 3.41, use an up to date back-up manager & payload.

This game works fine, I've had it working for a while.

ok thanks for the info. how do i edit the sfo. do i just connect my ext hdd to the pc and use something to edit the sfo.

also i think i have the most up to date back up manager but what do i do with the payload. sorry for being stupid. i will get there in the end.

That game doesn't work fully here the EUR version of it...
It gets to the Screen where you can choose which version you wanna play:

Gay Tony / GTA IV / Lost & Damned

Then if i select on of those i get the screen loading with pictures (wallpapers)
of GTA but the game itself never run...
I can exit to XMB but that's about it...

Any help ?

mayby update your hex once and try it with gaia... EUR (blaze version) works perfect here

Oh i see so im not the only one and you are using another .hex
so there is definetely something to patch or whatever...


EDIT: i've been looking into the Game Data folder and guess what ? It seems that GTA IV there doesn't have a proper icon like others,
maybe if someone that got it working would share his GAME DATA stored in dev_hdd0/game/BLES01128

just wanted to say that the game works 100%. the game isn't hard to get it start at all. just transfeer to external and play
