Gran turismo 5 on 3.55 cfw ? :( n00b here

hey guys, i just bought gran turismo 5 platinum edition

when i inserted the disc and tried running the game it showed something like 'this game requires 3.72 firmware'.
i have 3.55 kmeaw cfw installed on my ps3. is there any chance of getting this game work on 3.55 cfw?

i haven't tried copying it to internal hdd [backup] yet
i use gaia and multiman.

You will need to check ps3scenefiles.com to see if there is a fix for that game. If there is one then:

If the fix is a pkg file, run it and your disc should work.

If the fix is an eboot, you will need to copy the game to your hard drive. Rename the original eboot in the back up to something else so you can hold on to it just in case, then replace the eboot in the back up with the fix eboot.

i don't even know which patch is installed on platinum edition GT5


i have GT5 platinum edition BCES00569 [EU] according to multiman.
now

1. if i start from the disc,. it asks for 3.72 firmware

2. If i backup the game, MM will change the . sfo file to 3.55 . I selected yes.
when i try to start it after that, it says update to 3.60

3. when i tried 4.11 spoofer. it asked for installation of around 1.1GB data to HDD. after completing installation. it showed error 80010017.

what should i do?

You need a patch specifically for BCES00569 [EU] . Look here it is: Gran Turismo 5 BCES00569 1.11

PS. the fix is a pkg file, so you may be able to run the pkg and then play the game from disc.

it shows 'a newer version is already installed. no need to install this version'

i think platinum edition shipped with newer patch a guy in other thread said it has 1.13 installed
