    Hi
I recently updated from 10/100 ethernet to gigabit ethernet.

I´m using a gigabit switch connected to the ps3, and my pc is connected to the switch with a gigabit ethernet PCI card.

My the problem is the speed transfer, on Filezilla sometimes I can see peaks of 35mb/s but when it transfer large files usually I can get about 12 or 13mb/s wich is like a 10/100 link.

Can you please help me to squeeze more from this lan?

The PS3 shows the connection 1000Base-T Full duplex connected, everything is connected at Gigabit.

The cable I use is Cat5e plus.

Found this link but is the same for me, I can get only half of that

Yes...it's the best FTP Server you could get today for a PS3 ... use v1.1b (the latest).

Uses everything your network can give ... on a Gigabit Network, I'd say as fast as your HDD can write xD

When you say files what do you mean? Do you mean one large file or as in moving a folder of files over? Could the issue be that many of the files you see are so small that they download before the speed can even reach the max?

Well bro, that's what [C*] said ... you cant expect 30 MB/s from a file which is only 5 MB big.
And for your 11,5 MB/s limit on a big file I don't know....could be a limit in the Server for 100 Mbit ... or something is ****ed up with your setting, since I also saw people who are reaching 34 MB/s ... dunno I true, but I don't see why not.

    Update:

tested with blackbox v1.1 and now I hit 60mb/s but not stable, peak only.

The file was an MKV with 4,7gb and it took 2 minuts 45 seconds, at the end of the download the speed was stable at 29mb/s in the middle it was about 33mb/s.

    Now I´m happy
