Can anyone help me out? I've been trying to install this since last night and I get the beeps but when i reboot it there's no changes made to my system. The only thing it did was stop me from downloading PSN items. When i press download in PSN store my PS3 just freezes. Still trying to fix that. I also tryed recovery menu but it says corrupt data and I even have the .pup that stops it from saying that. I have a different error code that the one the .pup fixes.

Try reloading OFW 3.55 from the recovery menu. Then you can load 3.55jb from the system update on the xmb.

Is the power cycling necessary? What is the purpose of getting the system into recovery mode BEFORE we update the firmware to this 3.55-jb?

Wouldn't the system recognize the -jb as an update or higher version of it's current 3.55?

I'm currently on 3.41 and can update to SONY's 3.55 but have reservations on the process to update Sony's 3.55 to Geo's 3.55-jb.

Anyone that can bring clarity would be greatly appreciated.
