Yes, but their reasoning there was acceptable (changed hardware), while it was not for the FATtys, where the RTE was already available...

so instead of causing problems with people downloading the PS3 Slim firmware on a Fat PS3 and vice versa, Sony just made ONE firmware.
Would it be that hard for Sony to include a version-check and install/load the right modules? I doubt it.
True, but that were mainly Hardware-Features, which is sad of course but still in a legal and acceptable range.
I could be wrong...but you know Sony removed other PS3 features prior to removing OtherOS.
I can live with 2, instead of 4 USB-Ports.
I also can live with it, to put a seperate card-reader to USB, instead of have one build-in.
But I simply can't accept $ony stealing me a feature for obvious reasons, which was sold&advertised.
In the EU, Sony imports PS3s as "Computers" instead of marking it as a "game-console".
Why that? It's simple,... They have to pay a lower tax.
How could Sony justify it for the Slims and now also the FAT PS3s?
