    Hi!

I want to put BDCOVERS in internal hard disk (dev_hdd0/BDCOVERS) but I am afraid to use ftp. I have internet disabled due that I dont want them to upgrade my firmware from 3.41 to 3.50. What can I do ? Thanks.

change the dns of your ps3 to not something your router is. Also when you plug your ps3 in for ftp, just make sure if you can that there is not a direct connection out ot your router if you want to be safe.

Also in some routers you can block a ip from going on the net. This may be your best bet if you have a shop router, like dlink or netgear or something. Just block your ip of your ps3 from internet access, in your router settings.

Allso make sure on your ps3, automatic updating is disabled.

relax man take a chill pill you can use FTP just fine it wont update onless you do it yourself just turn off auto updates in ps3 settings even with auto update on you still have to answer yes or no to the update.
I have mine connected to the net all the time for FTP &XLink..

most routers can block a computer from accessing the network in their config dialog.

i have it enabled all the time though, and my ps3 didn't magically update to 3.42/3.50.

    Wired.

Also, if you can get your folder onto a USB drive (formatted to FAT32), you could use Comgenie's Awesome File Manager to move the files over right from your PS3.

    One more thing:

Also remember for you lot who are on net with ps3 but do not update, how do you know what info the ps3 is sending.

Alot of us prefer the ps3 to not connect to net to make sure the ps3 is not sending info, about games or what ever it sends of too sony.

Just disconnect the modem from your router while the ps3 is network enabled. I think that Sony will never actually ban any consoles personally.

    Then he stole his p0rn.
