Has anyone had any luck with FTP'ing game saves back to a ps3 after a format?

    Any input is appreciated
As far as I know, my ps3 has never had an undetected error.

Sure. I made a backup of my gran turismo 5 save using multiman on an external hard drive. After format, I create a new save and I replaced the files on the new save with the backup I made. It worked flawless.

You can just copy game saves from XMB saved data utility to a USB and then transfer it back after format. Thats what I did, the only thing is that it's one by one but I didn't need game saves from all games.

Good call. I forgot you can do that. I had tried just straight up FTP'ing them back but the ps3 would not recognize them being there. Looks like thats what I will be doing then. Thanks for the reminder on that one
