FTP Question - Internet must be turned on?

I just got my jb device and copied a game using backup manager with no issue. I wanted to ftp in and take a look at some files, but the ftp is not working. I have the internet turned OFF in the system settings. I assume I have to have this turned on? Is this correct? If so I guess I'll disconnect my router from the net while I mess with the ftp.

If this is the only way until someone makes an ftp that turns on the ether or wireless then that's the only way. I guess there will be a ton of banned people in the near future if Sony is anything like MS. Thanks!

If you are that worried, unplug your cable modem from the router when you use the FTP
