I forgot i had power saving set at 2 hrs and during a ftp transfer of heavy rain, it shut down.... Any suggestions or tips if it will resume from where it left off? If I redrag over the Bxxx folder, will it prompt me to continue. Is there a ftp program y'all recommend to help me in this situation? I am using WS_FTP_LE

Just out of curiousity, how long does a 20gb heavy rain transfer typically take? How far you think I was for the transfer?

It should have been easily finished in under 2 hours. Also depending on the on the FTP settings it should allow you to resume.

Well, I just retried and I didnt get any prompt... Looks like it's retransferring the whole thing .

On the semi bright side, I was transferring the file from an ext HD to the ps3 earlier, so this time I put it on my PC instead and re-doing the transfer. You think that'll speed up the transfer any?

Use Comgenie's Awesome File Manager v0.3 instead, you can copy the file from the PS3 Internal HDD to an External HDD, or viceversa, making the process so much faster.

When I used to use the PS3 FTP, I used it wired and it transfered me average 15mb/s(MAX:20mb/s), when I used wireless it was like 500kb/s(MAX:800kb/s).

RE5 from my PC to External took like 6 or 7 Minutes, and its 11.3 or so GB

far out 2 hours, it took me about 10mins to do ff13. 2 hours is way to long. but it depends on how many files there are. since ff13 has lots of big files where example armored core 4 has just over 12000 small files which takes ages ( like 1 hours ) to copy over.

we need a update of this ftp program so we can do multi connections allow like 10 files to copy over at once

Well, it was 3 hrs in, still transferring, and I had to go to sleep, so I cancelled . I'm going to try wired connection tonight. I'm only able to wire connection my laptop, ps3 is too far from router so ps3 has to be wireless. Wired laptop doing the transfer should hopefully be done in under an hr right?
