Flasher Question

Hi everyone.

I have 3 PS3s, I have one running MM that is all working fine.

I have a 60gb phat (with broken BD player) and a two year old slim.

I would like to flash downgrade my phat console (is that possible without a working drive?) and I would like to dual boot my slim (which is running the latest OFW.

I have the chance to buy an E3 flasher (hard to find in the UK). Would I be able to achieve what I want with that?

Some other people suggest that it is easy to wreck an E3 if used incorrectly.

I have read some negative comments about the E3, some people suggest Progskeet instead - can you dual boot with one of those?

You have to solder a progskeet to your fat to get it downgraded as the E3 does not support it.

Using the E3 for dualbooting your slim is fine. I have used the same clip on my E3 for more than 30+ consoles and its still working fine.

Once you setup the slim for dual booting, do you remove all of the hardware?

You need the E3 in to have dualbooting, you also need another HD.

For downgrading with the E3 you dont need it in after its done.
