So whenever I launch a backup game from the XMB, it'll make the screen flashes, sometimes pink and other times green, same thing happened when I use Backup manager, and other custom apps.
    Anyone experiencing this flash?
It's kinda annoying and hurts my eyes, does this happen only with using the PS3 homebrew/backup?
If you insert a legit copy of game would it do the same thing?
I wonder if this flash thing would damage the PS3 hardware in anyway, like something overloaded.

Crappy HDMI cables, or no-name brand TV?

I get the same thing on my legit, no jailbroken PS3, when inserting some movies or games, the TV auto-adjusts to the screen res. to match the game going from 1080p down to 720p or 480p in some real crappy games, at times when it does that I get weird screen flash.

I notice this happens on my cheap ViewSonic 32", but on my new Samsung, it does not.

I also see different in flash depending on the HDMI cable, a cheap $10 one, compare to gold-plated one with magentic filters, makes a big different on how fast the TV auto-adjusts removing less of a flash.
