    Hello All,
I thought sharing this with you.

I had to dissassemble my ps3 for YLOD fix and when I disconnected it, I've broken the clip of the motherboard wich holds the cable of the BD logic board.
It's a very fragile piece, so first advice when you discconect it, do it very gentle.
Once its broken its really a pain... because if the motherboard doesn't communicate with the logic board, your ps3 is almost useless except for photos, music or for ps3 media server.

It happend to me and I've fixed very easily, so I'm sharing the fix with you.

You will just need a credit card and a scissors
The idea is to fill the extra space inside the motherboard clip, so that the ribbon doesn't come off.

So first you need to cut a piece of the credit card, the exactly same size of the ribbon.
Then you put the ribbon inside the clip.
After that, you insert the credit card in the space left between the ribbon and the top of the clip. It will be hard to fit, but it will fit and do the necessary pressure for the ribbon to communicate with the clip.

I've cut just a small piece of the credit card, to fit the hole of the metal plate.
Then I've used a knife to help inserting the credit card.
And finally I used a piece of electrician tape to maintain the cable pressed forward the clip.

    And... its working!!!

    Good luck for you all

Remember that I'm nor responsable if you damage your console. Do it at your own risk.

    Regards,
