First Brick with Kmeaw ?

Hi to all,
my friend have succesfully upgraded his ps3 to 3.55 CFW and all works fine.

But 30 minutes ago , with ps3 in idle with backup manager open (lv2 patch on) , his ps3 bip once and shutdown.

Now won't boot anymore with Ylod error.

i don't trust in coincidence.

We have tried to enter recovery mode without success, we have changed the hd thinking on HD Brick but nothing to do .

Has your friend ever been on the Waninkoko CFW and then downgraded to OFW?

Cam you give us more details like steps taken to update to cfw, ps3 type and model no etc.

From what i can gather from your post, it seems to be like a run of the mill YLOD error.

is this a ps3 with 256mb nand?

check the underside of the PS3 and write down the model number, post it here

Led sequence starting : Green, Yellow (very short) , 3 bip and then red led blinking

He came from original 3.41, then original 3.55 and finish with Kmeaw installed by recovery consolle.

It's either the small chance of brick kmeaw mentioned in the license agreement or the fact that the PS3 is done for good.

Ohh craap!

That's the exact version i have, and i just updated to kmeaw CFW. How long did it take until it bricked?

Did you do anything special while using his CFW?

Im not sure if i should go back to OFW, does the brick have anything to do with what model you have, in kmeaw CFW?

Or can i be random?

I went from Geohot - OFW - Kweaws CFW (with a mod, founded on bitgamer which is has all included + disc-less mode)
