Firezilla: "501 incorrect username or pass"
Firezilla: "501 incorrect username or pass" –
Im trying to ftp files from my PS3 to my macbook.
FTP Package: openPS3FTP by @jjolano
okay im using a 3.55 kmeaw and I read this thread:
http://psx-scene.com/forums/f118/usi...ossible-65666/ (Using FTP server, without connecting the ps3 to the internet, is that possible)
I took Smeemi's advice in the thread and set up thos setings.
now, I went on filezilla and put these settings on Site manager
(just like in this video: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRTCBSliInk]YouTube - How to FTP from PC to PS3 on FIleZilla, (Kmeaw 3.55 CFW) Tutorial[/ame]
Server type: FTP
PASS: <- (I left it blank)
TRANSFER SETTINGS TAB
Transfer mode: active
now when I try to connect i get this:
Status: Connecting to 10.1.1.1:21...
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Response: 220-OpenPS3FTP by @jjolano
Response: 220 Version 1.3
Command: USER FTPD12345
Response: 331 User FTPD12345 OK. Password required
Response: 501 Invalid username or password
Error: Critical error
Error: Could not connect to server
I left the pass blank as you've seen earlier, but on my mac check this out
system prefrences>Network>Advanced settings>Proxies
there are diffrent proxies you can check on or off. one is FTP proxy (dont know if it should be on or off, or what a proxy is).
it says userrname: FTPD12345
and a 15 character password: •••••••••••••••
well my theory is, this password is the one I need to connect. So I can ftp to my ps3. I tried to change it and apply but it wont change... I even tried copy and paste but it wont copy. it just stays as •••••••••••••••
Could someone please help me FTP offline using a ethernet cable from a mac to a 3.55kmeaw ps3 slim using open ps3 ftp 1.3 and a firezilla for mac. I have wasted way to many hours...
Because the stuff for openbox is user: root, pass: openbox.
okay so I tried openbox as the pass and it didn't work, but your post jogged my memory to check this thread awhile back witch had the pass: open box and the user: root. I tried them and it worked. thank you so much man!
