I wouldn't bother with that dude, i used that splitter proggy a while back, you end up with alot of corrupted data. Will work after a few tries.
Best method is to install ps3 ftp.pkg onto your jailbroken ps3
then install filezilla on your computer.
Grab two ethernet cables, jam one into your ps3 and into your router, and jam the other into your computer and into your router.
Kick up your ps3, start the ps3 ftp connect to the ip address thats on screen with ps3 ftp.
Then you can throw your games into the GAMEZ folder.
There are heaps of tutorials out there for this dude.
The easiest and fastest ways to throw games onto your internal hd
Thanks thats what I'll do I was trying to avoid FTP as its a 37gb file so is going to take ages to do. I did it over wifi last time never thought to connect via ethernet![]()
yeah dude, ethernet works wonders, transferred gt5, just about 14ish gig over in about 5 minutes.
Now i'm playing gt5 w00t
The latest and greatest backup managers (GAIA and Open Manager) will auto split the 4gb files for you and store them on your external drive but they are unplayable. I believe I read somewhere that GAIA might actually be able to play these back but I never tried.
I also use FTP, although I use Blackbox FTP as the server on the PS3. Transfer games to internal with files over 4gb for playing.
the managers will actually copy the games back and forth from internal to external auto splitting the files and then rejoining when needed if you want.
