    Hello,

Currently on Rogero 4.3 v1.3, was working perfectly until now. Booted my PS3 to find "The file system on the system storage is corrupted and will be restored." Letting it restore, it just gets stuck on a black screen after its completed. Tried going to recovery menu and restoring file system but it just stays at preparing. Also when I select system update so I can downgrade it back to 3.55 but it just freezes there. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Try removing the hard drive.. Boot up the system with out it. Turn it off, stick the hard drive back in then boot back on.. If it asks to restore just hit circle.

Wouldn't start without the harddrive. Just formatted and everything works fine. Only downfall is everything is wiped from HD.

I have the same problem right now. Did you format your hdd through your pc? If so then what did you format it to?

I dont think it really matters Fat32 or NTFS because ultimately the ps3 is going to format it again. I just suggested that as an option on the other thread since you said the ps3 was not completing the restore option on its own. I would go fat32 i suppose. Main thing is just to get the ps3 past recognizing a corrupt drive. Once they get caught in that loop theirs not a whole lot of options.
As far as I know, my ps3 has never had an undetected error.
