Few questions on jailbreaking, SOS :)

Not sure if this is the right area to post this (please move if neccessary) but anyways, i'm new to ps3 jailbreaking and have done extensive research on it. i have a few questions i'd like to clarify and need help with.

1) What is lv1 and lv2 that is talked everywhere? What happens if you patch it? Would it be reversible if it was patched?

2) What is PL3? and what it does?

3) What is peek/poke and what it does? is it also reversible if patched? as from the Kmeaw and Wutangrz CFW.

4) What results would come out if i jail break a multi-account ps3? (having more than 1 user account lol) would it work for all accounts or the one where i would install it?

5) Which CFW from the four would be the safest to use (one that would'nt do any damage) that is able to run and install back up managers and play back up games? I have a ****load of game discs to use. I feel like im killing my blu-ray player LOL.

6) Would my backed up movies inside my console get deleted if i install CFW?

7) Would i be able to play online and not get caught? Using a legal and REAL disc of course. Caught meaning will sony find out i have CFW installed?

8) Whats the best back up manager there is? Is there a video on how to use it? I'm asking this because im a man that likes to see how things work and then try it on my own.

9) If i install a pkg file, where's the default installation directory? inside the hdd of my ps3? or would i need to run it over and over again from the usb? is it possible to install it inside a usb/external hdd and run it from there?

9.1) If it is possible to install it and run it on external hdd, would it be safe? would it affect game compatibility?

10) Is there a way to reverse everything and go back to the OFW with everything wiped out? This includes all the patching and stuff. If there is, how, and without erasing all of my saved data files (trophies, and game loads)


I've tried researching on the first 3 questions, but all i ever came up on google was CFW and people having bricked consoles LOL. I also know how to make eboots theoretically using blackbox and geohot's and FOF's tools. Btw, my ps3 has a 16 NAND, 320Gb move bundle console (CECH-2502B) on OFW 3.55 unhacked.

5.1) What happens if installation freezes during CFW PUP installation? Should i press the reset button on my console?

5.2) Should i install CFW on recovery mode?

5.3) Can you kindly explain what "/app_home/ps3_game/" and "Install Package Files" on CFW does? (Yes i know this sounds like a silly question but no one has clearly explained what these two things do in CFW)
