A few dumb question needed answered please.

Ok to start....To all the dev.. you guys ROCK. and thanks for the hard work.
and now for the questions, 1. my ps3 is on Rebug 4.21 and what to update to Rogero 4.30 v2 but everytime I try gives me an error. 2nd. is psn working on this CFW. 3rd and last my friends ps3 (Fat) (not sure of fw...) blueray stopped working and someone took it out and my question is can I install rogero on it and run mm without it or do I still need the disc support.? thanks everyone.

A friend of mine has a ps3 that someone took out the brd.. My question is can I install cfw and not need the blueray support to play backups. For mine I need a disc in the drive for me to run backup please let me know thanks

1. like indirect said - downgrade to 3.55 KMEAW first, then upgrade to Rogero 4.30 V2 from recovery
2. yes you can go online - but its at your own risk
3. you can run alot of games discless but I think you do need a Blu Ray drive to install firmware. something to do with a hardware check during update. if your friend was already on a CFW he could use a BD emulator to get around this update problem, but i'm not 100% on this. wait for some more feedback on this last one.
