External USB Folder location
External USB Folder location –

I've read many conflicting reports on the file locations
I'm using the E3 dongle, Hermes Payload, Gaia Manager.
I have the games in the GAMEZ folder, but when they were extracted, there was no sub folders, and the games don't load...
does the disk ID need to be a sub folder after the game title but before the ps3_game?
Thanks for the help!

Games go in a subfolder in the GAMEZ folder.
For example. If game X is called PLU2938
Then your directory tree is
X:\GAMEZ\PLU2938
And all the game files should be in THAT subdirectory.
That's the only way it works. (It's almost identical to the PS2.)

Thanks for the reply.
So there must be another missing piece then.
I tried using the BLUS folder in the game title subfolder, and also directly in the GAMEZ folder, with a disc in, without a disc in, using direct boot, not using direct boot, still no joy.
I've read so many conflicting things with the whole Eboot.bin thing. Should every file be in THAT BLUS folder, or (as i'm lead to believe), do I still need the subfolders inside there (PS3_GAME, USRDIR, etc..)
when i try and load a game, it's like the XMB restarts, but there's no game to load...
Thanks again for the help, My kids are dying for me to get this to work!

It is. The files get viewed fine. I actually got BF BC2 to kinda load, but it wanted to update, and i'm unsure if that is allowed.
Looks like when i extracted the files, it didn't do the paths as well (Curse Ubuntu and my noobness), so i'll need to somehow recreate the subfolders manually...sucks
thanks for the help folks!
