NO
Maybe a year from now, but not anytime soon.
Why is this so hard for people to understand??? NTFS is a copyrighted filesystem by Microsoft. There are hacked together NTFS drivers for linux, but in order to install anything of the sort we would have to completely decompile the PS3 kernel (lvl2) and input our drivers into it and then recompile it back up. Now, assuming there's no hash checking, etc, this might be possible, but I highly doubt anyone is going to want to run the risk of screwing w/ lvl2 anymore then what is needed.
Would it not be more plausible to imitate Sony's current hdd structure for use with external drives???
See, that would be more feasible. The only problem is, that it's UFS (if I remember correctly) and I don't believe there are any tools for Windows to connect to those types of filesystems. So, you'd have to be running Linux or Mac OSX to attach. LOL! Another reason for these whiney pirates to be upset about something.
Not sure of the filesystem it uses, but I think that would be the way people should be looking to go rather than hoping for a miracle and NTFS.
When you consider the problems they are having with the peek/poke they are going to have a million times more trying to implement NTFS.
