Nope, EASEUS didn't even work. It's some kind of hidden backup/security software that ****s with accessibility. Even when I format it, it says there's about 500MB taken up with "System." And it's all hidden. Ah, well. Can anyone recommend a decently priced one (this one I got on sale for $70) that will work?

F-Disk will see it. I've ran into some of these when Redoing computers.
There's 2 partitions.
One is used for a Backup of a system - HIDDEN - Resulting in your 500MB
Two is used for the system - VISIBLE
Some companies do this soo an end user CAN'T F-ck up there Restore partition
If you're daring and wish to fix it. Get A comp/laptop rip out the drives insert that one and boot up in Win98 floppy bootdisk and run fDisk.

there's plenty of 1TB ones for $80-$110, depending on brand and such. I use a seagate 1TB FreeAgent for entertainment media, for $110. and a LaCie 750GB one as well for all my backups, which I picked up for $20 from a friend who was moving out of country

Hi all, I have a similar problem. Except the drive (an OCZ 30gigs SSD) worked OK when I used USB jailbreak on 3.41. But now that I've upgraded to 3.55 kmeaw it's really flaky (works 1 on 10 times whatever the manager)
Same as KILLorBE, my drive does not appear as removable but as a local hardrive on PC.
Do you think it's firmware or manager related ?
Thanks for any clue
