i am wanting to buy a ext hdd, but which one? need it to get power from ps3 dont want power adapters ect, ive been looking but all i find need power adaptor

If you go with a 2.5 inch external drive it should be powered by the USB plug. They are easy to find. Almost all 2.5 inch externals should be USB powered since they are designed to be moved along with a laptop, but unfortinaltily it limits your storage space. 1TB drvies are the max you will find in that size and will probably be about the same price as a 2TB 3.5 inch external.
