EUR games safe on a american PS3?

I was just wondering. I know with some video game consoles that could even cause a potential brick. I swear iv'e asked this question before. But I don't honestly remember if I have or not.

i dont quite understand but i have never any issue playing different region on my EUR PS3 .though PS3 is Region free .

I have not tested on PS3 much EU games but the psp never did have problems with using EU games
The only problem I can see with PS3 is maybe video out if connected to NTSC TV 480i will not like the PAL signal

Yep not a problem, I might be wrong but I don't think any ps3 games are region locked. Even if they were at worst you'd get a black screen

I think he's mentioning about Updates.
Cause most likely on Wii (or backed up games on Wii) if you update that with different region,
you can easily brick the console.

No, it cannot brick the PS3.
Games are Regioned but PS3 is a Region Free console.
Put any game you want, update if you like/need and play.

Also, I don't understand 1 thing.
Why System Update files "on disc" is up to 256mb?
Almost every SU file is 170-172mb...

Oh right. there's the whole tv problem huh? will that mean EUR games will be at like half FPS?

Well if you play the game in 480p or above should not be a problem but older TV now they could give you problems

that is 50fps if running at full speed NTSC is 60fps and usually lose color sync too

on subject, I have a few EU games on my US system and they all play fine

I have a CECHL Model..!!! As you know it was released for japan only..!!! (NTSC-J)

But i'm not japanese and all the games i have played are either US or EUR...!!!
Have been using the same console for 3 years now and NO ISSUES at all..!!!

So i further confirm the fact, there is no such thing as region locked games or bricking..!!!

FYI

I'm using Rogero 3.3 with Mutiman 4.05
