Eternal Sonata + other black screen 3.41 -lower games

Have we made any progress in figuring out why some games just do not work at all like eternal sonata ?

I own Eternal Sonata and one of the things that stood out to me is the fact that when you get to a save point, it doesn't kick you out to XMB save like every other PS3 game does. Instead it uses it's own built in save menu.

Are the other black screen games like that?

I just installed eternal sonata EUR version into my external drive... For a good 30 minutes kept going on a black screen, I tried setting permissions using no-cd mode etc always gave me a black screen.

But the way i fixed it was update my multiman to the latest version... and start up multiman... go to the settings column and go all the way to the bottom. Change the "BD-ROM Emulator" Settings to Standard instead of hermes.. Restart multiman then boot the game! It worked for me!
