    Hi everyone,

I've got a 60GB Fat PS3 which I am trying to update to the new Rogero firmware. The problem is that when I attempt to install the new firmware via the recovery menu I receive error 8002F2C5 (Data corrupted). Also, the system indicates to me that I need to install firmware at or above 4.25 instead of 4.21 on the recovery menu. For similar reasons, I cannot downgrade/reupgrade from 3.55 back to 4.21. Any help would be tremendously appreciated.

*Update: My system seems to think that I am, in fact, on firmware 4.25. Again, any help would be deeply appreciated.

What firmware does it currently have? You sure your it's not spoofed to be 4.25?

I would wait if you have a fat. There have been bricks reported for fats on the latest Rogero.

Second update: I managed to install the Rogero 4.25 to 3.55 downgrader via recovery mode, so my system now claims to be on 4.21. Here's where it gets strange... When I attempt to install Rogero 3.55 v3.7 via the Recovery Menu my system says that it requires firmware at 4.40 or higher... When I attempt to reinstall the 4.25 to 3.55 downgrader, it tells me that the data is corrupted, with error 8002F157. I haven't attempted to install 4.21 v1.09 yet (primarily due to fear) but I imagine I would achieve similar results. Any advice would be incredibly helpful right now.

DCGh0st: It may have been spoofed. I'm not entirely sure how spoofing works.

Alright, so I'm not sure if this is good news or bad news, but I created a thread a few days ago explaining that my PS3 wasn't able to boot any of the games which I had installed on it prior to updating to Rogero 4.21. Well, for whatever reason, it now boots all of the games which I was previously unable to load (both from external USB and internal HDD). Frankly, I'm baffled... First of all, the system doesn't claim to be on CFW; it seems to think it's on 4.21. Second, even my spoofed games, as well as games with modified eboots are working (and I'm fairly certain that they shouldn't be).

I guess the bottom line is if anyone finds themselves in circumstances similar to my own, try booting Rogero's 4.25 to 3.55 downgrader from system recovery.

Here is how i Downgraded and Updated to the new one, there is a part missing in the offical guide, (The QA FLAG/TOGGLE)

    - Download the 4.25 downgrader PUP
    - Rename the downloaded file to "PS3UPDAT.PUP" and put it on your USB in: "USB\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP"
    - While on Rogero CFW 4.21, go to System Update from XMB and install the 4.25 downgrader CFW.
    - IMPORTANT YOU MUST DO THIS. Once installed, download and start the QA Toggle when you hear the 3 Beeps you can continue, if no beep restart try again. If it workz shut down PS3.
    - Now put "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7" on your USB in: "USB\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP"
    - Start the PS3 into Recovery Menu and install "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7" (from Recovery Menu and not the XMB, this is important)
    - Once the install is finished, you're now back on Rogero CFW3.55 v3.7
    - Now From the XMB or Recovery Menu install the CFW 4.21 v1.09

(Note if you do not QA Flag you wont get past the 4.40 version asking in the Recovery Menu) Good Luck!!

MAKE SURE THERE IS NO DISC IN DRIVE, ESPECIALLY UPDATING FROM XMB

I've followed the instructions to the letter - for whatever reason, I cannot downgrade to 3.55. My system shows that it's on the 4.21/3.55 hybrid currently, but all updates which I attempt to install register as corrupted and give corresponding errors.
