Enslaved asks 3.42 Patch.

I have rented enslaved from LoveFilm and it seems to the EU version that asks for the 3.42 patch to be installed. I cannot start the game without the 3.42 FW, so shall i try ripping the game from the disk? Or just I just download a copy from the net that might not need the 3.42 FW like the US ones most probably.
Or is there another way?

My downloaded copy doesn't ask for it.

Oh good god just leave him alone mr 500gb drive in your fat PS3. I highly doubt you have a 500gb drive in your PS3 for strictly homebrew applications.

i have the eu copy from sweden, it dont ask me to update. i know that the irish copy ask you to update to 3.42. But rip the game and change the param file to 3.400 and se if that work

Ok il give it a try. I ordered a 1TB external HDD from amazon, just hope it works smoothly with the ps3.
Im guessing NTFS support still not available? So i have to format it to fat32.

What the general experience with external HDD's?

yea FAT32 is still required.

Tried backing up mu copy which is V3.42 and editiing the sfo to say V3.41.
It does not work- gives an error code.
Tried replacing the eboot.bin file for the one used to get MOH working - also no good just gives a black screen.

Can anybody post there Enslaved V3.41 eboot.bin file for me to try.
Hope to play this from HD rather than disc.

update to hermesv4b and you won't have that error code anymore
